Torque Tension Load Cells

Our torque-tension load cells measure the tension and thread torque on a bolt using a unique strain gauge configuration. They can be used on an iPitch system, along with a torque transducer, to complete the fastener analysis system.

They feature a large internal diameter for compatibility with a wide range of bolt sizes with the use of our selection of plates and bushings.

They also feature slotted mounts on the base for convenience, and standard keyway slots for centering on the iPitch system.

Plates are recessed for square washer inserts, for simulation of the surface on the joint of interest.

Our torque-tension load cells are equipped with AutoID, which saves its calibration setting inside a memory chip to be ready by the MC900.

Applications:
Measure tension and thread torque and calculate under-head torque
Evaluate under-head, thread or total coefficient of friction of a bolt
Measure effects of material, surface finishes, plating lubricants and coatings
Use with the MC900 Ultrasonic to calibrate bolts

Plates and bushings are sold separately. A plate and bushing pair is required for each bolt size.
